Dash Connectif is a custom employee scheduling and roster application built for a Dutch client whose weekly planning ran on messages and a spreadsheet. MerchantUp designed and built the whole system — authentication, availability collection, change request approvals and attendance tracking — as a React application on a live Supabase database.
Staff availability was being collected by message and assembled by hand into a weekly roster. Changes arrived after the schedule was published, nobody had a single source of truth, and the person building the roster spent hours every week chasing submissions that never arrived on time.
The client did not need a generic scheduling SaaS. They needed their own rules — custom start times, different minimum working days per employee, a kickoff attendance step — encoded in something their team would actually open each week.
A React front end built with Vite, backed by Supabase for authentication, Postgres storage and edge functions, deployed on Vercel. Scheduling rules live in the database rather than the interface, so the client can adjust constraints per employee without a code change.
Because staff open it on phones between shifts, the interface was built mobile-first and handles a dropped connection without losing a half-completed submission.
